Case Studies
We have provided some marketing case studies below to highlight a few of the projects we have successfully completed for our clients.
State Farm Insurance Company
Sportsmanship Program Development & Implementation
State Farm wanted to build a marketing campaign and promote teamwork,
sportsmanship and citizenship that high school student athletes
learn through their participation in interscholastic athletics
and recognize schools who exemplify such. The message was designed
to build on the "Good Neighbor Service" and brand State
Farm and local agents with high schools in their areas who promote
sportsmanship and teamwork. The "State Farm Sportsmanship
Program" was developed by YSM and implemented in five states.
The program involved local agents sponsoring local high schools
in a sportsmanship initiative. The schools received a cash donation
and support to promote good sportsmanship by selecting a "Good
Neighbor, Good Sport" Award winner. The Program consisted
of "how to" sportsmanship manuals, posters, flyers, public-address
announcements and other media and the opportunity to present the
Sportsmanship Award at an awards banquet or assembly. Over 500
agents participated from Florida to Maine. Over $150,000 was donated
to local schools by the Program.
Dodge Dealers (Florida, Texas & Georgia)
Dodge Partnership Program
Dodge wanted to reach a younger audience (the tween audience) and
brand itself as the car and truck "of choice" to the
next generation of consumers and build on its ten years of marketing
exposure to high school sports. YSM created the "Dodge Partnership
Program" in Florida, Texas and Georgia. This program involved
statewide marketing including co-ops banding together to support
high school athletics. YSM developed relationships for Dodge including
the title sponsorship of the eight football championships in Florida
(telecast to over 7 million homes on Sun Sports Channel - a division
of the Fox networks). YSM also developed top marketing opportunities
for Dodge including the title sponsor of the Dodge Lone Star Cup
(Texas), the Dodge Sunshine Cup (Florida), and the Dodge Championships
Cup (Georgia). These programs recognize the best male, female and
overall athletic programs in each classification and bring together
over 50 Dodge dealers to present the Dodge trophies to member schools.
U.S.Marine Corp - 8th District
Chin-Up Challenge
The 8th District Marines (Southwest United States) came to YSM
with an objective to generate new leads for new recruits age 16-20
for a three-month that is traditionally the slowest time for new
recruits. YSM developed a program called the "Chin-Up Challenge" connecting
the Marines with the State Athletic Associations in Oklahoma, Colorado,
Arkansas, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas and providing the Marines
exclusive access to key high school sports championships in the
six states. The "Challenge" invited spectators to test
their strength with chip-ups or arm hangs (for the ladies) at over
45 events during an eight-week period. As designed, the "Chin-Up
Challenge" drew excellent attention and traffic for the Marines
from their desired target age group for new recruits. The Marines
generated over 700 active leads for their recruiters in the state
of Oklahoma alone and over 2000 leads were generated in the six-state
program. As a result of the program, the 8th District Marines have
renewed and extended their program to twice the level as the initial
test in 2007.
